Dr Janice Rueda joins the ILSI Europe Board of Directors

We are happy to welcome Dr Janice Rueda to the Board of Directors (BOD) of ILSI Europe. Dr  Rueda, elected in ILSI Europe’s General Assembly on October the 6th, is currently Vice President, Nutrition Science Business Development at Archer Daniels Midland (ADM). Her knowledge in Nutrition and Food Science, and her role and experience in scientific and business collaborations through strategic engagement in the global nutrition space, are highly valuable assets for the BOD of ILSI Europe. 

Janice’s experience working with colleagues in government and academia to develop research and policy initiatives contributes to ILSI Europe’s tripartite nature and strategic vision, helping to enhance this collaborative model.

Dr Rueda is an active member of many professional organisations related to agriculture, food science, nutrition and public policy and has worked extensively in nutrition research, program evaluation and nutrition policy. Dr Rueda has given over 150 invited presentations, seminars and keynote addresses around the world and has organized several scientific symposia and workshops. 

As representative of ADM, she also contributes perspectives on human nutrition, with a focus on the latest trends and opportunities. From healthier diets to personalized nutrition solutions, ADM currently actively participates in some of ILSI Europe’s most renowned nutrition Task Forces including Prebiotics and Probiotics, Health Benefit Assessment of Food, and Early Nutrition and Long-Term Health. 

The Board of Directors (BoD) is the managing body of ILSI Europe. It is composed of a maximum of 10-member company representatives and at least an equal or greater number of scientists from academic and public institutions. Each year 1/3 of the members retire but are eligible for re-election.
