More than 300 people participated in the Webinar on Foodborne Viruses: Detection, Risk Assessment, and Control Options in Food Processing

The webinar took place in November 2019 and was organised by the Microbiological Food Safety Task Force with co-sponsorship from the Viral and Parasitic Foodborne Disease PDG.

Over the past years, foodborne viruses have been recognized among the top rated food safety priorities and have become one of the major concerns of the food industry. The online seminar aimed at giving an overview of the current science on epidemiology, public health burden and risk assessment for viruses in food processing environments.
