Isabelle received her MSc and Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. To specialize into nutrition, she completed a second Master at the University Maastricht, the Netherlands and a professional Bachelor in Dietetics and Nutrition at the Catholic College Leuven, Belgium.

Then Isabelle jointed the central R&D of Danone Nutricia Research, France where she managed R&D projects and later on an R&D team. Together with the departments of Strategy & Insights and Consumer science, her major research focus with over 40 publications was on the nutritional assessment of fluid intake via the Liq.in7 surveys in populations worldwide. She had the honour to animate and lead expert group in this field.

At ILSI Europe Isabelle is responsible for the performance and management of the organisation, membership management and identifying funding opportunities such as Eu-funded projects. She is guided by and reports to the ILSI Europe Chair and Board of Directors, as well as the the Scientific Advisory Committee.

As a mother of two healthy kids and partner of an ambitious man, she considers herself a lucky woman.
