The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) organised a conference on 'Nutritional Immunology: Role in Health and Disease'. The event took place in Lisbon, Portugual on 26-31 July 2015.

This FASEB Science Research Conference focused on the interactions among nutrition, immunity and infectious and inflammatory outcomes.

Prof. Philip Calder (University of Southampton, UK) presented a poster on inflammageing entitled 'Health relevance of the modification of low-grade inflammation in ageing: Could nutrition play a role?'. The poster presented the latest outcomes of the EG 'Health Relevance of the Modification of Low-grade Inflammation in Ageing: Causes, Effects and Health & Wellbeing Consequences of LGI' of the Nutrition, Immunity and Inflammation Task Force.
