About the event
The 17th International Scientific Conference on Probiotics, Prebiotics, Gut Microbiota and Health - IPC2024 will be held during the 18th - 20th June 2024 in Prague, Czechia.
The goal of conference is to provide a scientific forum for all stakeholders of probiotics and prebiotics and to enable the interactive exchange of state-of-the-art knowledge. The conference is focused on evidence-based benefits, health claims proven in scientific experiments and clinical trials.
New scientific evidences that support or question the efficiency of already existing or prospective substances and applications will be conferred. In addition novel strains, controversial but scientifically solid ideas, approaches and visions will be presented as well.
Further to its scientific content, IPC2024 is a networking event. It is a unique opportunity to meet all the stakeholders of probiotics and prebiotics.
Participants will meet those who influenced the past, influence the present and most importantly will shape the future of probiotics and prebiotics by means of basic research, clinical trials, regulatory efforts or development of industrial technology. Initiation of cross-boarder co-operations between scientists and institutions will be also facilitated.

The course aims at providing state-of-the-art knowledge on the recent developments in toxicological hazard and risk assessment, with an emphasis on the application in food safety. A limited number of lectures will provide insights in these developments, emphasizing the role of so-called New Approach Methodologies (NAMs).
In-person training days content
During the 2-day in-person training, a manuscript will be drafted to publish the results of the case studies; participants will have the option to be co-authors of this publication.
The full training includes:
- Two online webinars on 28 May 2024 (2pm-4pm) and 30 May 2024 (2pm-4pm).
- Two days of in-person training at ILSI Europe's office in Brussels on 2 & 3 July 2024 (full day).
- A follow up online call on 29 August 2024 (2pm-4pm).

About the event
Since 2009, the Sustainable Foods Summit has been covering major sustainability developments in the food industry. How are sustainability schemes and eco-labels evolving in the food industry? With growing proliferation in labels, what are the prospects for a single sustainability standard for food products? What is the future outlook for plant-based foods? What developments are occurring in sustainable ingredients? How can food & beverage firms move towards circularity? How can operators close their material loops? Such questions are regularly addressed at this international series of summits.
The 15th European edition will take place in Amsterdam on 4-5th July 2024. Other editions in this international series will be hosted in North America (24-25 Jan), the Asia-Pacific (4-5 Sep), and Latin America (27-28 Nov). The Sustainable Foods Summit is a climate-neutral event. The carbon footprint of each edition is determined by calculating the carbon and greenhouses gases. These emissions are offset by investing in soil composting and / or related projects.
