ILSI Europe hosts, sponsors, and co-organises a variety of scientific events. These include independent symposia, workshops, webinars, hands-on scientific trainings and sessions held as part of the program of larger scientific conferences or professional meetings.
This webinar brings together different perspectives – industry, research, and finance – to explore these questions together. Starting from Arla’s Nature Strategy as a real-world case study, the session moves into the science of measuring biodiversity outcomes in a way that’s scientifically robust, the financing mechanisms that do (and don’t) change behaviour on the ground, and what it actually takes to design a farm-level incentive scheme that is credible, scalable, and fair.
The conference will showcase the results of two major European projects while bringing together researchers, industry leaders, startups, policymakers, and investors. It will highlight how innovative technologies can strengthen agrifood supply chains, advance the fair data economy, and support the transition to a more sustainable food system.

The 23rd International Congress of the European Society of Toxicology In Vitro (ESTIV 2026), taking place in Maastricht, the Netherlands, from 29 June to 2 July 2026. Under the theme "Ensuring Safety, Advancing Science: Bridging to the Future with NAMs," the congress will bring together researchers, regulators, and industry experts to explore the latest advances in New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) and the future of non-animal toxicology.
ILSI Europe's Expert Presentation
Prof. Cyrille Krul (University of Applied Sciences of Utrecht, NL), Chair of the New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) Task Force will be presenting during the session "Advancing the use of NAMs in food safety: innovations, challenges, and future directions", with a focus on the role of NAMs in transforming to human based safety assessment
As interest in plant-based diets grows, understanding their nutritional adequacy, safety, and feasibility in infancy becomes increasingly important.
This webinar will present key insights from the recent publication on plant-based protein in infant nutrition by ILSI Europe's Early Nutrition and Long-Term Health (ENLH) Task Force, bringing together perspectives from nutrition science, clinical practice, and food research. It will explore:
Current evidence on plant-based proteins in infant nutrition
Key scientific and nutritional considerations
Critical research gaps and future directions

Plant-Based Infant Nutrition: What Clinicians Need to Know?
Join us at for a 20-minute, small-group session for quick, practical insights.
Led by Yvan Vandenplas (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) and Sascha Verbruggen (Erasmus University Rotterdam), key authors of a recent publication from ILSI Europe's "Early Nutrition & Long-Term Health" Task Force, this session translates expert discussions into clinically relevant takeaways:
What plant-based options are currently available?
What are the main nutritional considerations in practice?
Where does the evidence remain uncertain or limited?
💬 Includes an interactive Q&A, allowing direct exchange with the experts.
WHEN?
Thursday, 25 June | 16:45 - 17:10 (presentation by Sascha Verbruggen)
Friday, 26 June | 12:25 - 12:50 (presentation by Yvan Vandenplas)
TITAN and Data4Food2030 projects are coming to an end and they have joined forces to co-organise a flagship conference. This event will take place on 17-18 June 2026 in Brussels, Belgium.
The conference will showcase the results of two major European projects while bringing together researchers, industry leaders, startups, policymakers, and investors. It will highlight how innovative technologies can strengthen agrifood supply chains, advance the fair data economy, and support the transition to a more sustainable food system.
Besides presenting project outcomes, the conference is designed to open space for dialogue and collaboration. By connecting science, industry, investment, and policy, it seeks to create new partnerships and accelerate real-world impact.
Call for abstracts
You are cordially invited to submit your abstracts for an oral presentation until 15 February 2026.
